The Golden Circle is one of the most popular routes among tourists and it consists in going through some amazing landscapes you definitely shouldn't miss. The Golden Circle consists of three main stops: Thingvellir National Park, Geysir Geothermal Area and Gullfoss Waterfall. Every site provides a taste of the astonishing landscapes and geological marvels Iceland is renowned for.

You can learn all about the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates that divide at Thingvellir National Park right beneath your feet, which is extremely cool. One of my favorite stops along the Golden Circle is Geysir-everyone loves a geyser, right? The biggest one here hasn't been very active as long before European settlement but Strokkur has made up for that deficit shooting boiling hot water 30 meters into the air every few minutes. THE GOLDEN WATERFALL - GULLFOSS End stop Gullfoss, the word translated as "Golden Waterfall" in English is simply mesmerizing with its raw power and beauty.
